For a recent Off-Limits column about the ganjapreneur whose Colorado vanity license reads “PUREMMJ,” we asked for a list of plates the state had refused to okay — and it’s huge. Literally thousands of vanity-plate applications have been turned down over the years, some so obviously, and hilariously, apt to offend many if not most drivers that it’s hard to believe anyone thought the Department of Motor Vehicles would go along.
Below, see the twenty most memorable sex-themed rejections as they would have looked on actual Colorado plates — an effect achieved with a little help from the online ACME License Maker site. And yes, all of them were actually requested. Count them down here.
