Could it have been just a year ago that news of Steve Horner’s anti-ladies’ night crusade first appeared in the Rocky Mountain News? Just a year ago that he first threatened to sue us? Just a year ago that I met him for an interview in a bar that he later sued for offering ladies’ nights – just as he sued Westword for running ads promoting ladies’ nights?
A long morning in court and a few thousand dollars in legal fees later, Horner’s suit against Westword was tossed. But from the sounds of these messages left on our office voicemail last week (click below to listen), Horner will be giving us plenty of reason to drink in the new year. – Patricia Calhoun
