Shannon Sharpe, the outspoken tight end who was part of both of the Denver Broncos winning Super Bowl teams, was named on Sunday as a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame — again.
It was the third time that the eight-time Pro Bowler — now a broadcaster for CBS — has been included; he was one of fifteen finalists. The class of 2011 will be revealed on February 5.
And there is some tough competition: Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis, Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk are all eligible.
