Talk about a metaphor for the Rockies’ season. In the background of a Bobby Valentine live shot on ESPN last night, sharp-eyed viewers saw third-base coach Rich Dauer get drilled in the face with a cross-diamond throw from Chris Nelson, reportedly breaking his nose in the process.
