Our post about a bill that would require dispensaries to post warnings to pregnant women about the dangers of smoking marijuana while pregnant riled up a lot of readers.
Many noted that data about possible linkage between pot smoking while pregnant and the risks to the unborn child is far from definitive.
Others pointed out that liquor stores and bars are not required to put up similar warnings, thereby implying that a double standard is in play.

The State of Colorado was very aware that I was smoking while pregnant. The nurse specifically told me that I had absolutely nothing to worry about because I showed no other traces of other drugs in my system. (Because they care more about meth and heroin and crack than marijuana). When the day came to give birth no one came to see me about them intervening. Once my daughter was born not one CPS worker showed up to threaten me about taking my daughter. I was able to take her home no problem.
