Although the Denver Police Department has not yet issued an official release (at least not one we’ve received), numerous news agencies are reporting about a shooting late last night at the El Chapparal nightclub, 2727 W. 6th Avenue, a venue captured in the graphic above (if you have trouble seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”). Apparently, someone in a crowd opened fire, striking two security guards, one of whom died. The DPD is looking for a dark sedan with broken windows. More information as it becomes available.
