You can find anything out there on the open road, but as a Westword operative recently discovered in Nebraska, some things seem more out of place than others.
In this case, it was a shuttle-sized RTD bus heading westbound on Interstate 80 near the town of North Platte.

No. It turned out to be a new small bus that will be put into service in Longmont, where RTD operates the “Longmonster” call-and-ride local bus routes, says RTD spokesman Scott Reed. The bus in question was manufactured by Supreme Corporation’s StarTrans Bus Division in Goshen, Indiana, and was being driven to Colorado.
“I’m really hoping it didn’t have any Go Big Red bumper stickers on it,” Reed adds. — Jonathan Shikes
