Here’s another mystery button, this one related to Robert F. Kennedy. Is the “Stop climbing mountains” phrase meant literally? Figuratively? Or a combination thereof? And what about the reference to 1972? Kennedy, after all, was assassinated in 1968. So was this button meant to goad him into running for the presidency during a period when it was assumed that Lyndon Johnson would make a bid for re-election in ’68 — which he didn’t do as a result of widespread dissatisfaction over the Vietnam war? Dunno. Do you? — Michael Roberts
