Here’s something odd: After all of these years of being Van Halen fans, this is the first time we can remember hearing Eddie Van Halen‘s voice. It sounds quite a bit different from how we imagined. Same goes for his brother, Alex Van Halen, for that matter. Guess the pair let the music do the talking all these years — or maybe we just weren’t paying that close of attention. At any rate, there’s a pretty cool video that was just posted on YouTube featuring David Lee Roth chatting up the brothers in the studio about their individual backgrounds, giving us a glimpse at a, ahem, different side of the band. Page down and have a look and catch Van Halen on May 24 at the Pepsi Center.
