Update 11/22/11: Good news! Chris “Citrus” Sauthoff appears to be on his way to making a recovery from the minor stroke he recently suffered. The sensation in his hand is evidently improving. Just the same, it’s going to be a while before he’s back to 100 percent, and so in the meantime, Tempa Singer, a friend and fellow member of the scene, has established a Paypal account to help the guitarist out while he gets back to good.
Original item (11/17/11): Prayers for a speedy recovery go out this morning to Chris “Citrus” Sauthoff, who has suffered a small stroke. The gifted guitarist (U.S. Pipe, Lord of Word, P-Funk) suspected something was wrong earlier this week when he began having difficulty with his picking hand, and after undergoing an MRI, he received confirmation that he had indeed had a small stroke. His recovery seems promising; this morning, he played some scales and worked on some finger-picking. “It will take a lot of work,” he writes on Facebook, adding, “i Will make U dance.” We’re going to hold you to that, bro.
