It looks like Mr. Big (playing at Summit Music Hall tonight with Romero and Quitter’s Anonymous) is brand-new again. The Los Angeles-born band started in the late ’80s, found noteworthy success with its pleasantly listenable hard-rock style in the years following, and, despite a break from 2002 to 2009, have continued to stayed active.

In promotion of its latest release, 2011’s What If…, the group has hit the touring circuit with its first record in ten years, and even longer with all original members in place. Mr. Big is definitely back, rejuvenated and carrying the same heavy but pop-oriented sound that pushed the band up the ranks over two decades ago. This show is all-ages, and tickets are $25-$28. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the bands start at 8.
