Bowling for Soup (due at the Bluebird tonight, with the Dollyrots and Sunderland) tapped into the perfect formula for pop-punk success in 1994 and hasn’t changed much since. But the quartet’s songs about wieners, booze and girls suit fans just fine, and this year the band celebrated the release of its eleventh studio album, Fishin’ for Woos.
But for being a band of permanent high-schoolers, Bowling for Soup has seen some serious success in its more than a decade and a half history. In that time, the Texas dudes have earned a Grammy nomination and have sold over a million records. This show is sixteen-and-up, and tickets are $15.75-$19. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the bands start at 8.
