Bonnie And The Beard (playing tonight at the Walnut Room with Blow The Vault, The Changing Colors and …And The Black Feathers) has a wayward traveler-feel about its sound — if Vaudville Americana were a genre, the local trio would be at the top of it. The band’s stomping, clanging rhythms are complimented by a duet of male and female vocals and a little banjo, tambourine and keyboards between.
Bonnie & The Beard pushed out a self-titled album earlier this year, a pleasant collection of tracks that are part Pretenders, part front porch blues. This show is twenty-one and up and tickets are $7-10. Doors open at 7 p.m., bands start at 8 p.m.
