Just received word from the folks at Live Nation that the Weezer gig originally slated for Saturday, January 17 at the Fillmore has been postponed with no new date announced. While no official reason was given, we’re guessing frontman Rivers Cuomo is going to need more time to recover from the tour bus accident he was involved in this past weekend in upstate New York. From the looks of the pictures from the scene and subsequent reports that he sustained injuries to his spleen and a puncture to his lung, that’s certainly understandable. Prior to announcement, Weezer had already canceled the remaining dates on its current tour for the rest of the year.
