KVOQ, Colorado Public Radio’s new music-driven station, soon to be much more well known by the OpenAir 1340 AM handle, made its broadcast debut yesterday. To our ears, it sounded like a slightly more accessible version of Radio 1190, which makes sense considering that OpenAir is being programmed by Mike Flanagan, who spent half a dozen years overseeing the former signal’s operations, and staffed by a crew of mostly former 1190 DJs. While tons of folks praised the station on its Facebook page, not everybody, it seems, is thrilled by its arrival, including Beavis, who posted our Comment of the Day:
