Pries is known for writing catchy hooks that drive his pop-style production with ease. For No Glue 2, though, he focuses more on vibrancy in his verses and brings a more polished, grown-up production style. On the track “Venetian Lobby,” the vocals of J. Carey weave through the silky beat carried by the Curtis Mayfield sample from “Give Me Your Love.” Pries gives himself more room to showcase his hard-core rhymes on “Row 11,” issuing a challenge for progress to himself, more so than any naysayer. “Look at Me,” the self-described “cocky song,” is just that, but it fits perfectly within the album’s chemistry. Glue is eighteen tracks long, and while it’s a hefty listen, the overall project is solidly dope.
