With no Rothbury this year and the 1st Bank Center renovations behind them, looks like Chuck Morris and his AEG live crew have more time to devote their full attention towards the Mile High Music Festival.
Given the noticeable improvements in terms of amenities from the inaugural fest in 2008 — from moving the food vendors to a more central area to adding more shade tents and misters — Morris and company are clearly focused on continually striving to improve the experience for fans.
This year’s Mile High Music Festival is reportedly taking place a month later than usual on August 14 and 15. As Morris explained to our colleagues at the Post, the date’s proximity to Lollapalooza makes talent acquisition a little easier, and in August, he offered, it won’t be nearly as hot as July (really?).

With regard to the former, that’s great news for music fans. Last year’s lineup wasn’t quite as compelling as the first year. As you can see from the widget above, AEG will begin revealing act’s for this year’s fest very shortly. Stay tuned for updates.
