Korn is coming to the Fillmore Auditorium on Monday, February 27, with Kill the Noise. Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Wednesday on the band’s website, and regular tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. Gotta hand it to the dudes: Who thought they’d still be a topic of conversation in 2012? Like Darius Rucker, the erstwhile Hootie and the Blowfish frontman who wisely reinvigorated his dormant career by adding some twang to his tunes, Korn, nu-metal dinosaur from the ’90s, figured out a way to make itself relevant once again. On Path of Totality, Korn’s latest record, the act sagely aligned itself with Skrillex and other kingpins of dubstep, a sound the band reportedly helped pioneer back in the day, before there was actually a name for the genre. For better or worse, it seems to have worked.
