Blonde Redhead, the New York trio who borrowed its moniker from a song by the ’80s no wave group DNA, is set to release Penny Sparkle, its third album for 4AD, September 14 (the album’s opening cut, “Here Sometimes,” is available for streaming and download on the band’s site). The act visits the Ogden Theatre Saturday, November 27. Tickets (22.50/$25) go on sale Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m. Early bird tickets are available for $15 this weekend until Sunday at midnight.

Toronto-based DJ Deadmau5 (aka Joel Zimmerman), meanwhile, returns to the area for a two-night stand at the Fillmore Auditorium Wednesday and Thursday, October 6 and 7. General admission tickets ($39.50 advance, $45 day of show) go on sale Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m.

Tech N9NE, whose new album Collabos the Gates Mixed drops today, hits the Fillmore Friday, September 24. E-40, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Jay Rock and Glasses Malone will open the show. Tickets ($32) go on sale Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m. General admission four-packs are also available for $96, which comes out to $24 per ticket.
