Yes, that’s a wreath made of French fries. LoHi SteakBar is definitely in the spirit of the season, and its spud-studded holiday decor just took first place in the LoHi Merchants Group wreath contest, besting two dozen other LoHi businesses, including Uber Sausage and Jezebel’s. And that’s not the only winning news coming out of LoHi SteakBar, a popular hangout in the heart of LoHi that opened in June 2009, in the former home of Northstar, an early brewpub. The restaurant’s expansion is almost complete, and the private dining room that’s being added beyond the current dining room should be open by New Year’s Eve.
But don’t expect to see the French-fry wreath then. Despite many layers of shellac, this holiday decoration might not make it past Christmas.
