Nothing on the regular menu of the Kitchen [Next Door] climbs above $10. But if you want to eat and drink for really cheap at this new, pub-like Boulder spot, the best time to stop by is during the newly introduced Community Hour, when a special menu of snacks and libations features items that are each four bucks or less.

“Certain tap beers are $2,” says Sara Brito, spokeswoman for the Kitchen, citing Avery’s Ellie’s Brown, Dry Dock Apricot Blonde and Steamworks Steam Engine Lager as examples. “And the Kitchen red and the Kitchen white wines are $3.”

You can pair those beverages with of $2.50 lamb and pork sliders, $4 spiced chickpea and veggie antipasti plates, and $1.50 snacks and sides (including the popular garlic smashers).

The Community Hour, which rolled out on Saturday, runs daily from 3 until 6 p.m. and on Sunday through Wednesday, also from 9 p.m. until close — normally around 11, according to Brito.
