Does anyone remember Wolfgang Puck’s place in Cherry Creek? Not after they’ve had a bite of the goat curry at Phat Thai, the restaurant that Mark Fischer opened in December in that same spot at 2900 East Second Avenue.
The goat curry rates a spot on our list of 100 Favorite Dishes. But Fischer is a favorite, too, according to fellow chef Sean Kelly:
Can’t wait to get in here and eat, Mark Fischer, is simply put, one the of most intelligent and capable chefs – restaurateurs the state of Colorado has to offer. I had one of the best meals that I have ever experienced in this state at 689 several years ago. When Denver finds out how fantastic this guy is, he will quickly establish himself as a chef whose assets need to be appreciated on a weekly basis. Welcome to the Denver scene and best of luck, Mark and Larry.
Have you been to Phat Thai yet? If so, what did you think? Post your comment below, or join the conversation already under way here.
