Spring is here, which means that the Boulder County Farmers’ Market has returned — and so have Juliet Wittman’s posts about what you can find there. On Saturday she picked up fennel from Eric Skokan’s Black Cat Farm, which inspired a recipe and some writing as lovely as the fresh produce at the market. Says Jjoun:
“Coruscate”—what a wonderful unexpected word choice. As usual, great market post and so nice to see Juliet stretch out past the market and a recipe and into a more extended culinary reverie. Black Cat Farm should has asparagus, too, some time in the next few weeks. They harvested for the first time today for their cookbook tasting menu dinner.
What’s your favorite farmers’ market in the area? What are you looking forward to finding there?
