Who has the best fried chicken in metro Denver? Readers have been debating that forever, but the conversation heated up after we posted our list of the Ten Best Places in Denver for Fried Chicken, which concluded with the 2015 Best of Denver winner, the Post Brewing Co., in the top slot. Says Geoff:

The number one on this list does not even come close to being good. You can always tell when food is cooked with no love. Also be wary of a restaurant that is more proud of their hot sauce than the actual chicken. Greasy and bland chicken from the Post Brewing Co.

But enough readers agreed with our pick of the Post last year that it made the finals for the Best of Denver 2016 Readers’ Poll. Here are the top five fried chicken joints in town, according to the public vote:

MAX’s Wine Dive
Lou’s Food Bar
Steuben’s Food Service
White Fence Farm
The Post Brewing Co.
