From the sea to the still, Boulder is celebrating food and drink in a big way tonight. Whether you’d rather be shucking and slurping at the Oyster Fest or sitting down to a multi-course meal centered on a whole boar at SALT, there is something for everyone — except, maybe, vegetarians. Tonight SALT will serve up its first-ever Boar and Bourbon dinner. For the event, SALT’s chefs will be bringing in a whole boar and preparing a six-course meal featuring craft-cocktail pairings made with award-winning Breckenridge Bourbon. You can see the full menu here. Reservations are required for the dinner, which costs $75; call 303-444-7258.
Sip, slurp and shuck your way through the second annual High West Oyster Fest, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Boulder Theater. Jax Fish House is putting on this second round of oyster mania, which includes an oyster-eating contest, shucking contest and even oyster stout brewed by Post Brewing Company. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $75 for VIP; 100 percent of the proceeds benefit Veterans Expeditions. For more information, visit the Oyster Fest Website.
