A quick glance down the Facebook wall of the Justice League of Street Food indicates that the party slated for August 21 may be the most anticipated culinary event of the entire summer, but one detail remains unrevealed: the location.
Until now.
On Saturday, seven food trucks and carts — Cupcake Truck, Biker Jim’s, Steuben’s, the Biscuit Bus, Pinche Tacos, Steamin’ Demon and the Gastro Cart — will gather in an empty lot for a party awash with wine and beer from the Infinite Monkey Theorem winery and Great Divide Brewing Co (it’s a cash bar — and they do mean cash, not credit cards). A DJ will provide the beats. Lawn games will provide the entertainment. And one lucky Westword reader will eat free for writing the best oath for the group. We’ll announce the winner later today; you can see the entries and vote for your favorite in the comments here.
This fete kicks off a series of parties that the Justice League has planned for the fall season, which will all take place at the same location.
