Colorado Bartenders Guild (COBG) is looking for bartenders with noggins full of gin ideas for the Hendrick’s Gin Cocktail Competition. To enter, a bartender needs to concoct a cocktail that includes the base spirit of Hendrick’s Gin (at least 1.5 ounces), with a maximum of seven ingredients (one can be homemade), then submit the recipe — complete with a list of ingredients, proportions, preparation and glassware — by Friday, October 16 to coloradobartendersguild@gmail.com
The Hendrick’s Gin Cocktail Competition will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Lola, 1575 Boulder Street; it’s open to the public, and there will be food and Hendrick’s drink specials all night long. I’ll be there as a judge, alongside the Hendrick’s national ambassador, Charlotte Voissey; Stacey Brugemann from Denver Magazine and Sean Kenyon of the COBG. The winner of the competition will get a trip for two to Las Vegas.
