When I ordered a Manhattan, I didn’t expect a great Manhattan, since this spot is more of a “watch soccer and drink beers” kinda bar. But how hard is it to pour bourbon (since the bar didn’t have rye, which I prefer), some sweet vermouth and a splash of bitters into a glass? I would have even been okay if the bartender had left out the bitters. Instead, I wound up with a nasty cherry juice and sweet vermouth cocktail with a splash of bourbon.
It takes a lot for me to leave a full glass on a bar, but this was seriously undrinkable.
Cherry juice?
Can you guess where I was drinking?
