Now we know what’s taking the place of the Five Star Burgers that closed at 555 Broadway earlier this year: another outpost of Einstein Bros. And while the Colorado-based Einstein is expanding, Five Star appears to be shrinking, at least in metro Denver: A second location at 2330 East Arapahoe Road in Centennial has apparently closed, too.

The phone there is “temporarily disconnected” and Colorado has been erased from the Five Star Burgers website. Five Star Burgers is owned by the Taos Restaurant Group; there are still locations scattered across New Mexico and Missouri (where the restaurants offer a special “Iron Skillet” burger smothered in bacon gravy and topped with a fried egg).
Before this Broadway address became a Five Star, it housed a second outpost of Kokoro; the original is still going strong on South Colorado Boulevard.
