From the highly revolutionary world of social networking comes one of the stranger Twitter stunts we’ve seen in a while: Boulder-based tea manufacturer Celestial Seasonings is promising to change tea time by hosting a weekly virtual party, with help from the Sleepytime Bear.
The bear launched his social media presence last night (the mascot now has a Facebook page and a Twitter account) with a half hour-long virtual conversation marked by the #CSTeaTime hashtag.
Being the sensitive animal that he is, he asked questions like “Any stress-free tips for holiday shopping?” and “What is your favorite herb, spice or flavor in tea?” Throughout the course of the session, which appeared to be followed closely by a crew of mostly moms, the bear divulged his favorite yoga pose (“downward bear”) and the fact that he likes to sit around the fireplace, drinking tea after dinner.
Cute…we guess.
