The annual Lit Fest is under way at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, founded almost twenty years ago by Andrew Dupree and Michael Henry, the subject of a recent 100 Colorado Creatives. Lit Fest events will continue daily through June 17, with readings, movie screenings and salons. But Lighthouse is a beacon for the literary arts all year ’round, says reader Daniel:
Hell, yes, Michael Henry (and Andrea and all the folks who make Lighthouse work): You folks hold an amazing and encouraging and nurturing space for artists and especially for those who don’t yet consider themselves artists. It’s a space like Lighthouse that can change that kind of thinking, from “I’m not a writer” to “I’m a writer.”
