Every time I’ve fly fished, I totally sucked. You’d think that drinking PBRs on a river in the Idaho sun would ameliorate the embarrassment of not landing anything, but after the 20th “one that got away,” you can start hating life pretty hard.
All of which makes the above movie about fly fishing on the Kamchatka River in Russia even more impressive. When I think “fly fishing movie,” I think snoozer, too, but this HD masterpiece from Telluride-based Felt Soul media has to be seen to be believed. And it almost makes me want to get back out on a Colorado river in time for the next hatch.

Next time I go, though, I’ll be sure and bring a shotgun. This time, if a trout gets within an inch of my hook, I’m not taking any chances.
