There might be a simple solution to America’s fat problem, and it might just be fun: Go outside and play. That’s the idea, at any rate, behind Keen Footwear’s Recess Revolution Tour, which is criss-crossing the country in five cities trying to tear adults away from their computer screens for a second: “Studies show that getting outside for even ten minutes a day can make you happier, healthier and more productive,” said Keen organizer Phyllis Grove (who almost certainly did not mean that in a creepy OK Computer type of way) at the pop-up playground the company set up in Skyline Park today on the third stop of the tour. Random people who stopped by could fill out a pledge, take a photo and get a free pair of socks for the trouble, but the real draw was the tetherball.

If you’re a downtown drone and you’ve missed out on the fun so far, take heart: The recess revolution continues at Skyline until 5 p.m.
