It’s time for the Time Warp Comics 25 Year Anniversary, and owner Wayne Winsett is throwing a month-long party to celebrate. The festivities get started in earnest today with a signing by Fort Collins-based artist Nick Runge, who’s working on a new Ghostbusters title and doing covers for Joss Whedon’s Angel series. He’ll display his work, sign autographs and do sketches from 2 to 5 p.m.

“He’s such a special artist that they use him [mostly] for these special covers,” explains Winsett. “He did one of the most amazing pieces of artwork in my collection. He’s only 24, and he definitely has a huge future.”

Throughout the month, the guests and events will keep coming, including Mark and Laura Allred of Madman, Ben-10 co-creator Steve Seagle, Aliens artist Zach Howard, a 25th-anniversary auction, trivia nights, sales, and a customer-appreciation barbecue with a band. “It’s going to be a big month,” Winsett promises. To cap it off, Eisner-award winning writer Bill Willingham of Fables will visit in October.

It’s all happening at Time Warp Comics, 3105 28th Street in Boulder. For more info, including a complete schedule of events, call 303-443-4500 or visit www.time-warp.com.
