The sad news is that tickets to Rojo, mi amor, tonight’s $100-a-head benefit gala at the Museo de las Américas, are scarce, if not completely gone. But the wonderful news? You can still get in on the less expensive and more youth-oriented Rojo, mi amor…the After Party at 10 p.m., complete with a high-profile DJ or two, as well as wine, beer and aperitivos.

“You wouldn’t believe the decorations,” says Museo spokeswoman Marsea Wynne, promising a room with white chandeliers and walls and floors scattered with rose petals and confetti let loose from colorful Mexican eggshell cascarones — not a shred of which will have been swept away after the gala. Step into this Nick Bantock book come to life for only $20; tickets are available in advance (call 303-571-4401) or at the door.

The Museo is at 861 Santa Fe Drive; visit www.museo.org for information.
Sat., Oct. 14, 6 p.m.
