If you were too busy watching Walking Dead or, worse, the American Music Awards, you might have missed this goal that gave the Colorado Rapids the winning advantage in the 2010 MLS Cup championship game at Toronto’s BMO Field, over FC Dallas.

The Rapids’ Macoumba Kandji forced an own goal after an impressive nutmeg of Dallas’ Jair Benitez. Kandji kicked it through the legs of Benitez and then the ball deflected off the thigh of another FC Dallas defender, George John, in the 108th minute of an overtime period. It was ultimately the difference-maker for the Rapids, who are now Colorado’s newest championship team. They won 2-1.

It looked like lanky Kandji (he’s 6′ 4″) was injured pretty badly on the play. He came out of the game after the goal and was seen limping after the game. Here’s a screen shot:
