Is it true that bronzed have more fun?
Colorado Senate Bill 23, a bill intended to prohibit the use of a tanning bed by a minor unless specifically prescribed by a physician — thus depriving the rest of us of supple, bronzed teens — advanced yesterday on a 6-3 vote.
Sort of.
Lawmakers toned down the language in the bill, first written about here, requiring that those under the age of eighteen prove parental consent prior to tanning their lithe, athletic bodies — but no note from a doctor needed. The debate over the bill proved a valuable waste of time for everyone, since that’s already the policy at most taning salons. — Adam Cayton-Holland
