Despite the proliferation of restaurants in the Lower Highland neighborhood over the last couple of years, the area still isn’t quite ready to call Uncle. In fact, we keep getting word of new projects going into the area, including a restaurant actually called Uncle.

A liquor license application sign is up in the window of an address that’s right next to Highland Tap & Burger at West 32nd Avenue and Vallejo Street, and it confirms that a restaurant is in the works.

While details are sparse on the project — and the windows of the address are papered over, preventing anyone from seeing what sort of remodel might be going on inside the space — we know that booze will be part of the equation. According to the signage, Uncle goes before the Department of Excise and License on April 20.
