Update: The Denver coroner’s office has identified the man found dead in a house on the 100 block of North Stuart Street as Ronald Ford, 63.

“The cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head,” reads an office release. “The manner of death is homicide.”

Original item, 7:43 a.m. February 14: On Friday, Denver Police Department personnel dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of North Stuart Street were greeted by a dead body — and cops don’t believe the man’s demise came about due to natural causes.

No names released thus far, but the DPD confirms the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Denver Police Investigate Homicide

Denver Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found this afternoon in Northwest Denver.

On February 11, 2011, at approximately 12:40 p.m., members of the Denver Police Department were dispatched to 122 North Stuart Street on the report of body found inside the residence. When officers arrived on scene and after making a forced entry into the home, they discovered the deceased male victim.

This death is considered to be suspicious in nature and will be investigated by the Denver Police Homicide Unit. There are no suspects in custody and the victim has not yet been positively identified.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Denver Coroner’s Office.

Release of additional information will be pending further investigation.
