Minty fresh.
The Denver Mint, which was shuttered last week during the Democratic National Convention (allegedly to conduct “inventory”), was back in business Tuesday, September 2.
Too bad its employees missed one of the most ridiculous chapters in the soon-to-be closed book on the convention: the levitate-the-mint protest witnessed and written about by Westword’s Jared Jacang Maher, as well as a loud kerfuffle involving Re-create ’68, the protest organizers, another group called 9/11 Truth, and right-wing media pundit Michelle Malkin.
And as for the Mint itself, an agency spokeswoman in Washington, D.C. reports no structural damage to the building from its levitation. — Jonathan Shikes
