Today, the Colorado Rockies will open their 2012 campaign against the Houston Astros — and to mark the occasion, Denver City Councilwoman Judy Montero and folks from Denver Public Works painted a “Colorado Rockies Purple Stripe” (plus Rockies logos) on Blake Street between 19th and 22nd. We can imagine this line serving dual purposes — getting fans psyched for the season and giving cops a great way to give boozers sobriety tests!
