People from Boulder can be interesting for all kinds of reasons, and the Boulder History Museum will honor that by hosting the fifth season of its Conversations With Extraordinary People series at Chautauqua. The series features individuals whose work has contributed to the city’s living history. “We present the innovative people, events, research and businesses whose connections with our city make Boulder the remarkable community that it is today,” says museum spokeswoman Susan Linde.
For the first event, Chris and Dave Hibbard — big names in alternative medicine and global health-care research — will lead the conversation. They both teach at the University of Colorado’s Center for Global Health and have worked in Uganda.
All of the conversations (future presenters include musician Otis Taylor and chef Hosea Rosenberg) will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Chautauqua Community House, 301 Morning Glory Drive in Boulder. Tickets for an individual lecture are $15 for the public, $12 for BHM members. Tickets for the full series are also available for $110 ($86 for members); wine and cheese are complimentary.
