Twitter is a great way to keep up with the latest developments, including those that are complete crap. Like, for instance, a bogus Twitter announcement that super-Bronco Von Miller had been traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers — a prospect that Miller himself decked via a well-aimed tweet from his own Twitter account.
Here’s Miller’s first response to a message that appeared to come from the Broncos’ official Twitter account, but definitely did not:
Twitter is something else lol @Denver_Broncos: we are excited to announce that we are trading Von Miller to the Steelers for C Hampton.”

Indeed, since the same day as this Twitter rumor broke, the Denver Athletic Club named Miller the Colorado Athlete of the Year.
Of course, had Tim Tebow stuck around Denver, he likely would have earned the DAC’s nod. But he was shipped out of town — something we hope doesn’t happen to Miller for a long, long, long time.
