Every day Westword receptionist Steve Burge gives you the fashionable view from the front desk.

This is why I’m glad I don’t work in a “normal” office environment. This guy’s look is dull, dull, dull in his uber-beige office attire. Now, I do give him props for his four button jacket. Four button is cool, and perhaps worn open over the right graphic tee with a pair of distressed jeans by Diesel or something… yes, the jacket could stay. But as shown here? No. I just don’t understand how this kind of thing happens. How does a person wake up in the morning and say to himself, “I have an idea… I think I’m going to wear as much tan and light brown and beige and khaki and YAWN as I possibly can. Isn’t that a great idea?” And what? The name brand sunglasses worn as an accessory inside are an improvement? Ugh. And this, my friends, is a look I call: Yuppie Douche.

Boring slacks by: Who Cares. Boring shirt by: Blah. Flowered necktie by: What-Was-I-Thinking? Jacket by: So Close, Yet So Far. Shades by: Wanna-Be.
