“Baby Hair is essentially an open mic that revolves around female and/or queer writers, musicians, performance artists, comedians and whatever else can be found,” says Sara Century, who organizes the monthly gathering with Erica Adams.
The Baby Hair stage is open to all sorts of new performance concepts. The only criteria, Century adds, is a “serious emphasis on the queer/female aspect, because we really don’t want people showing up who wouldn’t be comfortable with that.”
