In Drive Angry, Nic Cage plays a man who broke out of hell to make things right, and now he’s got one last chance at redemption. Now, read that last sentence again in the gravelly voice of the “In a world… guy and note that Nic Cage also drives a lot of muscle cars in this movie, and you’ve got a recipe for ridiculousness on a scale we haven’t seen since the parody trailer of Machete in Grindhouse, except that trailer was, you know, a parody, whereas this one is real. It also boasts the greatest description of Nic Cage we’ve heard in a while, offered by equally slumming co-star William Fichtner: “6’1”, angry, with attitude.”

Everyone in this movie, what the hell happened to you? Did you not read the script before you started filming this thing? And if Amber Heard fires off that “oh yeah” — which, is a more generic catch-phrase even possible? — twice in the span of about 30 seconds in this trailer, how many times will she be forced to say it in the movie? Also: OH MY GOD, IT’S SHOT IN 3D!

On the other hand, we’re not going to lie: With a trailer this unequivocally silly, you almost can’t go wrong.
