Young Jeezy’s (performing tonight at the Ogden Theatre with Freddie Gibbs and Young Doe) rough-hewn voice is unmistakable, and whether he’s pushing hard on his own tracks or lending his growl to songs by the likes of Bun B and Drake, the rapper leaves an unforgettable mark. Even Usher’s 2008 glistening radio pop hit, “Love in This Club,” received the trap star’s brutal vocal treatment, and frankly, wouldn’t have been nearly as palpable without it.

But beyond the big-name collaborations, Jeezy’s gruff delivery of his autobiographical tales is a force to be reckoned with, as evidenced on dozens of mixtapes and studio albums over the last decade, including the yet-to-be-released Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition. This show is sixteen and up, and tickets are $35-$40. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8.
