Ellie Goulding (performing tonight at the Ogden Theatre with Bag Raiders) may have only been on the international radar since 2009, but the English singer-songwriter has all the trappings of a star with some serious longevity. In a world of copies of pop star copies, Goulding shines brightly as both a talented songwriter and a eye-catching performer with a wiser-than-her-years stage presence.
Last year saw the U.K. release of her debut full-length, Lights, followed by Bright Lights, an international release of the same record with a few tracks tacked on. Goulding’s fluttering and breathy voice is set to make a second showing with a follow-up album this year, though no date has been announced. This show is all ages, and tickets are $20-23. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the acts start at 8 p.m.
