“It’s not your typical fashion show,” says Indie Six’s Angela Dixon — which may be the understatement of the year. She’s talking about Viva Las Denver!, taking place tonight at the Bluebird Theater, 3317 East Colfax Avenue.
“It’s kind of like Cirque du Soleil meets Indie Six,” Dixon continues. “We’ve got acrobatics, singers and dancers, and the whole thing’s being filmed by Cold Zero Films in HD. There’s going to be a live chopper show with lots of cool bikes and cars out front that are going to be on a red carpet, roped off.
“It’s going to be ridiculous; it’s going to be total Vegas. It’s definitely a dress-to-impress event.”
Tickets to this 21-and-up hair, makeup and body-art show are $20 and include a goodie bag. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the pre-show starts at 9; get your tickets by calling Indie Six at 303-777-7400 or stopping by the salon at 550 East Sixth Avenue.
